Lisa Joinson: Unauthorized two way communication was used to request assistance for a dog in distress. Lisa provided appropriate dog care. The specific circumstances were reviewed in conjunction with race rules and the decision was made to disqualify.

2017, The Fort St. James Sled Dog Association is disappointed to inform you that this year’s 18th annual Caledonia Classic Sled Dog Races will be cancelled due to poor snow conditions. This significant lack of snow throughout January, coupled with recent and predicted rainfall, has led to trail conditions that are unsafe for both dogs and mushers.
